This year (2024) our Facebook group is 10 years old. So it was 10 years ago we started trying to recreate the Ossett Common Carnival. We have held a gala every year since except for the covid years.

In addition to this anniversary in June  the park was given to the ward 100 years ago by Joseph Illingworth. So this years gala held in June will be an extra special gala, 10 years of us doing the gala and 100 years of Illingworth Park.
